SUNY Plattsburgh College Council to Honor Faculty at August Meeting
SUNY Plattsburgh’s College Council will conduct its August meeting as part of an annual retreat on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the Valcour Educational Conference Center, Route 9, south of Plattsburgh. Open to the public, this meeting will take place at 3 p.m. in the center’s main house.
During the meeting, the council is expected to issue commendations for Dr. Bryan Higgins and Diane Fine who were recently promoted to distinguished service and teaching professors, respectively, as well as for Sue Lezon, Thomas Corigliano, Terry Lacey and Drs. Deborah Altamirano, Chou-Hsuan “Jason” Lee, Chris Martine and Jean Ouedraogo who received Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence.
Discussions will focus on college marketing efforts and include reports from the new provost and vice president for academic affairs as well as from the vice presidents for institutional advancement, administration and student affairs.
