SUNY Plattsburgh Branch Campus Offers English Minor
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Sept. 8, 2010) – SUNY Plattsburgh’s Branch Campus at Queensbury is now offering students the opportunity to earn a minor in English.
Students at the branch campus can earn the minor by taking 18 hours, including …
- Up to six credits (two classes) in any English course at the 100 level (except ENG 100 and ENG 101).
- Up to six credits (two classes) in any English course at the 200 level.
- The remaining six to 18 credits (two to six classes) in any English course at the 300 or 400 level.
The minor provides an “added professional strength” to students majoring in other disciplines, said Dr. Robert Golden, the dean of the branch campus. He added that the college is looking at other ways to strengthen students’ professional qualifications.
“As the branch campus develops and grows, we’ll be looking at other minors to add that can help students add more credentials to their resume,” he said.
