The Office of Admissions will host its annual fall open house events Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 16 on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus.

Prospective students will have the chance to visit campus, meet with faculty and staff, tour buildings and hear what current students have to say about the Plattsburgh Experience.

“Our fall open house program is a great way for prospective students and their families to meet with program faculty, learn more about campus services such as admissions, student financial aid, housing, dining and much more,” said Tonya Baker, visitation and events coordinator with the Office of Admissions.

Open house begins each day with registration at 9:30 a.m. at the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium in Hawkins Hall. Prospective students and their families will hear an opening presentation and conversations with currently enrolled students, who will share their experiences and answer questions.

Academic Break-out Sessions

These sessions take place in various academic buildings across campus and include tours of the featured facilities. Visitors will have opportunities to ask questions.

Following tours of the academic buildings, visitors will be taken to the Angell College Center for the Academic, Student Services and Involvement Fair where they will have opportunities to speak with representatives from all academic areas, student service offices and various clubs and organizations on campus.

From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. visitors will have an opportunity to view all available types of housing, from low-rise to suite-style residence halls.
