Seven SUNY Plattsburgh Faculty, Staff Promoted
Four SUNY Plattsburgh faculty members have been promoted from assistant to associate professor, while three professional staff members were promoted in their positions.
Dr. Curt Gervich joined the faculty in the Center for Earth and Environmental Science in August 2010 as an assistant professor. Dr. Shawna Mefford Kelty joined the theater faculty as an assistant professor in August 2011. Dr. Joel Parker joined the faculty of biological sciences as an assistant professor in August 2012, and Dr. Tamara Pobocik arrived on campus in August 2008 as an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing.
Casey Casamento, who was promoted to lead programmer/analyst in Computing Systems and Desktop Support, arrived on campus in November 2005 as a help desk support technician. Christopher Ciccone was also promoted to lead programmer/analyst with CSDS and has been with the college since February 2007 when he was a programmer/analyst. Jessica Lashway, a former keyboard specialist 1 upon her arrival in October 2001, was promoted to assistant registrar.
