Music Department Faculty Member Showcases Original Works in Upcoming Concert
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music will present Dr. Bill Pfaff in a concert of new works for soundplane, synthesizer and electric guitar Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Krinovitz Recital Hall, Hawkins Hall.
Pfaff, an associate professor of music, will perform several of his own works in the program, “Imagine :: Combine :: Refract.” Two numbers, “Adieu,” and “Driving Rain,” were composed in memory of synthesizer creator Don Buchla, and Duane and Greg Allman, respectively, all of whom have influenced his work at different times, Pfaff said.
This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the SUNY Plattsburgh Music Department, with support from the Campus Arts Council through the Student Association and Plattsburgh College Foundation.
For more information, contact Pfaff at 518-564-2463 or [email protected].
