course at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh that may be just
for you.
Timothy Morningstar, lecturer in music, will be teaching "Musical Theatre" Tuesday, July 11 through Thursday, Aug. 10. The class will meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 8 p.m.
It's not just a lecture. In addition to learning an historical account through representative works of the American musical theater, including the current shows on Broadway, students will actively participate in class discussions. Students will also enjoy films and recordings and take part in "Musical Theatre Jeopardy." The course will focus on famous composers and lyricists as well as leading Broadway performing legends.
