Honors Program Brings on New Associate Director
Dr. Tracie Guzzio, professor of English, is the new associate director of the Honors Program.
She will assist current director, Dr. James Armstrong, with continuing development of the program as he transitions from his position with the program in fall 2017.
Guzzio joined the faculty in 2000. She has taught courses in the Honors Program and has served as the faculty adviser for Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society. She received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2008, is recognized in the English department for her strength in student advising, advocacy and mentoring.
Guzzio is the author of “All Stories Are True: History, Myth and Trauma in the Work of John Edgar Wideman,” among several other publications. She has served the campus community as chair of the General Education Committee and a member of the faculty senate, among other roles.
