“The education I have received at SUNY Plattsburgh and through the Nutrition Department
has exceeded all my expectations. And the strong bonds I have formed with my fellow
classmates and the SUNY Plattsburgh faculty have made all of the difference.”Rebecca has been conducting genetic research through the Biology Department under
the advisement of Dr. Nancy Elwess and Professor Sandra Latourelle. Her research looks
at a specific gene and its relation to high fatty food preference and type II diabetes
mellitus. She has presented her findings at several national conferences.
