Daniel Gordon Faculty Recital March 31
Plattsburgh, NY - The Music Department at the State University of New York College
at Plattsburgh presents a faculty recital by Daniel Gordon, assistant professor of
music, on saxophone Friday, March 31 at 8 p.m., in the Hyman and Frances Krinovitz
Recital Hall, Hawkins Hall.
Members of the Frontier Saxophone Quartet and Karen Becker, SUNY Plattsburgh faculty pianist, will perform a variety of works in different combinations from two saxophones to saxophone quartet with piano. The program includes works by John David Lamb, Paul Hindemith, Steven Galante, Carl Anton Wirth, Elliott Carter, Tapani Saarinen and the premiere of Quintet for Saxophone Quartet and Piano by SUNY Plattsburgh faculty composer William Pfaff.
The concert is free and open to the public.
