  • Bikes must be returned by 10 p.m. weekdays and 9 p.m. weekends on the same day issued
  • Bikes are unavailable during school breaks during the semester

What Equipment Do We Have?

The recreation department has created a bike storage room on the second floor of Memorial Hall complete with bike racks and a size chart. Our equipment available currently includes:

  • mountain bikes
  • single-speed cruisers
  • locks
  • helmets

The bike program issues bicycles of varying sizes (extra small, small, medium and large), according to the student’s height. A bike lock with a set code will be given upon bike issue. The option of borrowing a helmet is available, but not required.

Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who is Eligible?

Currently enrolled full-time undergraduate and graduate students at SUNY Plattsburgh. This program is not open to the general public.

How Do I Get a Bike?

It’s easy! Just visit the recreation desk on the second floor of Memorial Hall and ask the staff to help you. There are no requirements, besides a valid college ID card.

Return Policy

Bikes must be returned prior to closing on the same the day you borrow the bike.

Students are responsible for any damage while the bike is in their care. Fees will be charged if damage exists above normal wear and tear.
