Academic Philosophy

The first teaching experience I can recall is teaching my 3-yr-old sister to read when I was 5. I now believe that the key to that success was a passion for reading that we both share to this day. I am passionate about the practice of nursing, privileged to serve in any role that allows mutual sharing of knowledge, experience and insight to improve the health of individuals, communities or nations. I believe that we are all life-long learners and therefore obligated to seek any available opportunity for continued growth so that we may, in turn, assist others on their own journeys.
