Matthew Smith

Matthew began paddling and exploring the outdoors with expeditionary studies at SUNY Plattsburgh, as a student. He has worked for Anacortes Kayak Tours in Washington as a lead guide and guide trainer, has worked as a guide in Patagonia and for expeditionary studies as an adjunct. He currently works as an instructor for Osprey Sea and Surf Adventures. Matthew has participated in paddling expeditions in Peru, Southeast Asia, Patagonia, Vancouver Island, Maine and the UK. Matthew is a 4 Star BCU Sea Leader Trainee, BCU level 2 Coach Trainee and ACA level 3 River Instructor.
