Winter Session Guarantees Solutions for Students
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ From introduction to public speaking, zen therapy and jazz history
to wilderness first responder, introduction to biopsychology and sociology of women,
more than 40 on-campus and 20 online courses will be offered during Winter Session
at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. There's a wide variety
of courses for both the traditional student and someone who wants to take a class
for fun.
Winter Session courses at SUNY Plattsburgh are also guaranteed so students don't have to worry about course cancellations. All courses will be offered, provided that each course has at least one student enrolled.
The course guarantee allows students to plan their winter schedule with the assurance that Winter Session courses will be available - a guarantee that most colleges do not offer.
More than 575 students have already enrolled for Winter Session courses. They will take this opportunity to catch up on their course load to graduate on time, get ahead to graduate early, reduce their future course load, fulfill a general education requirement or improve their grade point average.
The online session will run from Monday, Dec. 18 to Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, and the on-campus session will be held from Tuesday through Friday, Jan. 2 to 19, 2007, but some course dates will vary.
