Western New York Native Sworn in as University Police Officer
University Police Officer Rachel Youngers was sworn into service by President John Ettling Aug. 28 in the President’s Office with Chief Jerry Lottie, Assistant Chief Patrick Keleher and Vice President for Student Affairs Bryan Hartman in attendance.
Youngers was born in Angola, N.Y., and graduated from SUNY Canton with a bachelor’s degree in criminal investigations. She finished the first phase of the police academy at the David Sullivan Academy, St. Lawrence County. She will go through the second phase at the Zone Nine Training Academy in Plattsburgh.
