Students Compete in Theatre Sports Improv Sept. 16, 17
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ If you've seen Drew Carey's "Whose Line Is It Anyway," television
show, then you'll enjoy Theatre Sports Improv on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and
17 at 8 p.m. in the Hartman Theatre, Myers Fine Arts Building at the State University
of New York College at Plattsburgh.
The best of the best students in the Theatre Department at SUNY Plattsburgh duke it out on stage for the title of best improvisational team in the annual competition. Students are given a character to portray or situation to act out only seconds before they perform in front of the live audience. Hold on to your seats because anything goes.
Preliminary eliminations are completed before Friday's (Sept. 16) performance, and Friday and Saturday night performances feature the final competition and judging.
Admission is $2 for SUNY Plattsburgh students and $3 for general admission. Tickets
are available in advance at the Angell College Center Information Desk, or at the
Hartman Theatre Box Office, which opens at 7 p.m. on the evenings of the shows.
