PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Financial Aid Office at Plattsburgh State University of New York will participate in the Statewide Student Financial Aid Day on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Financial aid experts will answer questions and provide assistance regarding the financial aid application, types of aid available and the award process from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Sixth Floor Conference Room of the Kehoe Administration Building.
They will also provide assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a form required for all financial aid. Counselors will also be available for one-on-one advising.
The workshop is free and open to the public, but individuals are urged to register by calling the Plattsburgh State Financial Aid Office at 518-564-2072. Admissions tours of the college will also be available throughout the morning
SUNY Chancellor Robert L. King said, "This is a great opportunity for students and families to learn first-hand how they can take advantage of the financial aid that is available to help them pay for college."
Thirty-two SUNY campuses around New York State will be participating in the Statewide Student Financial Aid Day, which will be held for students and their families at a campus near them or at the college where they plan to enroll.
