Some Museum Facilities to Close for Summer
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (May 13, 2010) – All Plattsburgh State Art Museum facilities in
the Myers Fine Arts Building will be closed for the summer, starting Monday, May
17, as the building undergoes an asbestos abatement.
This includes the Burke Gallery, Winkel Sculpture Court, Slatkin Collection Room,
Myers Lobby Gallery and the Fishbowl otherwise known as Room 232 in Myers.
The Rockwell Kent Gallery in Feinberg Library will remain open, however, and will
feature new items on display.
The reopening date for the facilities in Myers will be announced late this summer.
