Small Business Development Center Appoints New Business Advisor


PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Tony Maglione of Plattsburgh has been appointed to the staff of the North Country Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. Maglione will be responsible for assisting businesses throughout five northern New York counties.

Tony Maglione In making the announcement, Delena Clark, director of the center, said, "We are delighted to have Tony's expertise in finance to benefit our clients."

Maglione earned a bachelor's degree in finance and international business from McGill University in 1992 and an MBA from Concordia University in 1999. Since 1999, he has been part of the adjunct faculty in the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh, providing instruction in finance and economics. Maglione has comprehensive experience in business financial management and procurement operations. His corporate career spans an eight-year period in the banking, paper and electronics industries.

"I am glad to be part of a team of well-qualified professionals who are adept at providing business assistance to our region," said Maglione.

Maglione resides in Plattsburgh with his wife and daughter.

The NYS/SBDC at Plattsburgh, part of the School of Business and Economics at Plattsburgh State, works one-on-one in a confidential setting with emerging, existing and expanding entrepreneurs by exploring avenues for funding, marketing and management. The staff provides these services at no cost to clients in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Warren and northern Washington counties.
