Registration Open for 2025 SUNY Plattsburgh Homecoming/Family Weekend

For the second year in a row, SUNY Plattsburgh alumni will have the chance to meet and mingle with future grads at the combined Homecoming/Family Weekend event Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 28.
The weekend begins Friday when alumni and families are invited to enjoy the view of campus from 10 floors up during a reception on Kehoe’s top floor, which features spectacular vistas of the Adirondacks, campus, Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains. Light refreshments will be served.
During the same time period, noon-4 p.m. Friday, the Plattsburgh State Art Museum galleries will be open for self-guided tours. Visitors can enjoy exhibits in the Myers Fine Arts Building and Feinberg Library.
"Alumni and families will recognize some of the Homecoming traditions like the bonfire,
welcome-back social at the Monopole and the Fall Festival," said Kerry Chapin-Lavigne,
director of alumni affairs. "There'll also be family-friendly entertainment such as
ice skating with Burghy, Cardinal Family BINGO Night, and a fun run and walk.
"This year, in addition to the bonfire, there will be Dueling Pianos Saturday evening following the Homecoming Italian buffet dinner," she said.
Chapin-Lavigne mentioned the Class of 1975 — 50th anniversary class — during the weekend with a special wine-and-cheese reception and other shout-outs for having been inducted into the Golden Anniversary Club.
"The weekend will also include special events to celebrate fraternity and sorority life, athletics, academic and support programs," Chapin-Lavigne said.
Other events throughout the weekend include tours, open house receptions in offices
and departments like career development where visitors can enjoy cookies and conversation
about all they offer students and how alumni can help with internships, mentoring
and more.
