Public Relations Group Hosts Networking Event Nov. 17

The college’s Public Relations Student Society of America will host a public relations networking event Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.

The annual #Mullet event, named for the haircut, will include icebreaking games and give participants a chance to mingle with students and professionals. A representative from Northern Adirondack Planned Parenthood will speak about non-profit public relations issues while photographer Dan Hooker will be on hand to take head shots that attendees can use on LinkedIn and other professional platforms.

A variety of not-for-profit organizations, including the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital fundraiser Up ‘til Dawn, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and the Career Development Center, will have representatives there with information to share.

Headquartered in New York City, PRSSA has 300-plus chapters at colleges across the United States and in South America in Argentina, Columbia and Peru.
