Plattsburgh State Celebrates Homecoming Weekend Oct. 15-17

PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh will welcome alumni back to campus when they return for the annual Homecoming celebration Oct. 15 to 17.

The weekend, which celebrates the theme, "One World, Many Faces," will provide an opportunity for alumni to make their way back to Plattsburgh for a weekend of fun and a walk down memory lane with old friends.

Rose Anderson '95, director of Alumni Affairs, believes that this year's celebration promises to be one of the best ever.

"We are truly excited about Homecoming 2004," said Anderson.  "It will be a wonderful opportunity for alumni to get together and interact with students, faculty, staff, faculty emeriti and the community."

Homecoming will provide a chance for alumni to reminisce about the past while they experience new things at Plattsburgh State.

"One great example of this will be the celebration of the return of Grace Reese to our campus. She served as international student advisor for over 20 years," said Anderson. "Grace will get to meet the present international students as well as reunite with those whose lives she impacted while she work at the College."

According to Anderson, there will be a range of events for people to choose from.

"There will be something for everyone to enjoy," she said. "It will be a mixture of entertainment, food from around the world and concerts. This year, we are including a dinner theatre, 'Murder at the Rutherford House.' This will be an interactive and fun event."
