Online Session Planned for Prospective Psychology Majors
The SUNY Office of Admissions will offer its next online information session for prospective students interested in the psychology program at SUNY Plattsburgh will be held Thursday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 7 p.m.
The program will feature a live presentation delivered by psychology faculty, current students, alumni and admissions personnel. The curriculum, internship opportunities and information about related careers will be discussed.
Psychology major Katelyn Stetz will be involved in the presentation.
“I’ll be providing information about how positive my experience has been here so far,” Stetz said. “I believe this is extremely important for soon-to-be freshmen because they are able to gain information about our program and campus, from not only one of our program co-chairs, but also from a senior psychology student as well. Having access to information about the college you will potentially attend is also beneficial because you get a feel for what college life may be like.”
“Our online events have been very popular,” said Carrie Woodward, director of admissions. “More than 300 prospective students participated in our online events last year."
