Online Information Sessions Offered to Prospective Students
The SUNY Plattsburgh Admissions Office will be offering two more major-specific online information sessions before the end of the fall 2017 semester.
According to Carrie Woodward, director of admissions, the major-specific sessions feature a live presentation delivered by faculty, current students, alumni and admissions. The presentations will include an overview of the curriculum, internships and information about related careers.
“The online sessions give prospective students a chance to learn more about SUNY Plattsburgh and its academic programs before deciding whether to apply, visit or enroll,” Woodward said.
Education, Health and Human Services will offer its online information session Thursday, Nov. 30 while the Department of Psychology is online Thursday, Dec. 7.
In addition to the academic online sessions, a financial aid online information session is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 6 to 7 p.m. This session will discuss how to apply for federal and state aid through FAFSA, suggested timelines for submitting financial aid, important changes to know for the 2017-2018 year, and more.
“Our online events have been very popular,” Woodward said. “More than 300 prospective students participated in our online events last year.”
