Several Options Set for NYC-Area Prospective Students to Connect | SUNY Plattsburgh
Prospective students and their families living in the New York City area have several options this spring to learn more about SUNY Plattsburgh.
In-person campus visits, specially designed events at the NYC Welcome Center, one-on-one appointments with an admissions advisor in New York City, and tailored online Q&A sessions are among the options.
NYC Welcome Center Events
General admissions presentations are held at the NYC Welcome Center at 33 West 42nd St., across from Bryant Park on the 18th floor of the SUNY Optometry building. The next session is on Thursday, April 13 at 6 p.m. Prospective students must pre-register for the event.
Individual Appointments at the NYC Welcome Center
A one-on-one appointment at the NYC Welcome Center is a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to get all their questions answered in person.
At one-on-one meetings, an admissions advisor will tailor the conversation to student interests regarding academic programs, campus life and culture, housing, the admissions process and other topics.
Online Sessions
Those who can’t easily make it to campus this spring can register for a NYC Student Online Information Session. Admissions advisors will share information about the Plattsburgh region, academics and student life, transportation options, support services, campus culture and diversity and more.
SUNY Plattsburgh students from New York City will also be on hand to answer questions in a live Q&A. Students can also sign up for major-specific, housing, financial aid and first-generation student online information sessions.
