Nursing Alumna to Speak on Opioid-Hepatitis C Connection
The SUNY Plattsburgh Alumni Association and Department of Nursing will sponsor, “Dope Epidemic: The Unforeseen Consequences of the Opioid Epidemic and Hepatitis C,” Monday, April 3 at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.
Theresa Watts, a 2008 SUNY Plattsburgh nursing graduate and University of Wisconsin-Madison Ph.D. student, will share her journey to graduate school and discuss her research into opioid use and hepatitis C transmission to babies.
She will deliver a similar presentation Tuesday, April 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at UNO Pizzaria and Grill, 578 Route 3, Plattsburgh, at a program sponsored by Gamma Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. A $5 donation is suggested for this event.
