New International Students Feted at Potluck 'Welcome Home' Dinner
Nearly 100 international students, faculty and staff turned out for the Global Education Office’s New International Student Potluck Dinner Friday, Jan. 26 in anticipation of the start of the spring 2018 semester.
According to Jackie Vogl, director of the GEO, the potluck gives international students the welcoming sense of “home,” even if home is on the other side of the globe and boast temperatures on the other side of 60 degrees.
The evening also provided the chance for faculty and staff to meet the college’s newest international students, mingle with returning international students, and enjoy a moment before returning to the classrooms.
