Music Students Create an Perform Works for Acoustic Instrument
SUNY Plattsburgh students will perform newly composed works Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Krinovitz Recital Hall, Hawkins Hall.
The event is free and open to the public.
Students have worked over the past six months to develop their compositions, with each composer working in a unique style. Following the concert, the audience is invited to participate in a question and answer session with the composers and performers.
Composers include Andrew Lower, Vihan A. Wickramasinghe, Mariela Hache Canahuate, Brian Desena, Elidia Lopez, Ryan Mahony, and Dr. Bill Pfaff, SUNY Plattsburgh associate professor of music.
Performers include Margali Hanson, bass clarinet/Bb clarinet; Lower, Bb clarinet; Mahony, piano; Rachel Hurtt, piano; Lopez, piano; and Trevor White, flute and Bb clarinet.
