Moffitt Hall Re-opens Following Year-long Renovation
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to highlight the re-opening of the Moffitt Hall residence on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus will be held Thursday, Sept. 1 beginning at 4 p.m. outside the front entrance on Towers Roadway off Rugar Street.
Patrick Hazilla, residence director, will emcee the event, introducing President John Ettling, Vice President of Student Affairs Bryan Hartman and Steve Matthews, director of housing and residence life, who will all say a few words.
The Moffitt Hall renovation represents the sixth total rehab so far of the college’s 12 halls. Wilson Hall, located next to Moffitt and behind Clinton Dining Hall, is the latest to be taken offline for renovation this year. Macomb Hall is currently in the design phase for next year, followed by Whiteface Hall the year after that.
The ribbon cutting will take place about 4:20 p.m., followed by light refreshments and tours of the building. The event is open to the public. For more information, contact Matthews at 518-564-3824.
