Financial Aid Forum Set for Jan. 17 at Plattsburgh State
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Plattsburgh State University of New York will host its annual Financial Aid Forum for prospective college students and their parents on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Angell College Center. The forum is open to any college-bound student considering attendance at any public or private college in the United States.
Todd Moravec, interim director of financial aid at Plattsburgh State, said, "In the past, students and parents attending this annual forum, particularly those attending college for the first time, have found it to be valuable in their planning for college. The presenters at this forum are very knowledgeable and have many of the answers for questions about applying for financial aid."
The forum will begin with a general session on the financial aid process. It will be followed by three concurrent sessions on credit cards, education loans and scholarships. The forum will end with a session on understanding financial aid award letters and college invoices followed by a question and answer period.
Individuals with questions about the forum can contact the Financial Aid Office at Plattsburgh State toll-free 877-768-5976 or by email at [email protected]
The Financial Aid Forum is made possible through the support of Plattsburgh State (a member of the College Aid Awareness Network) and the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association.
