Champy Advertising Awards Competition Accepting Applications
The SUNY Plattsburgh collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association is sponsoring the 31st annual Champy Advertising Awards competition to recognize creativity by local advertisers.
The awards are given in five categories:
•Radio/Internet radio
• Television/video/YouTube
•Print (newspaper and magazine)
•Website/digital
•Miscellaneous (brochures, direct mail packages, menus, outdoor and more)
The competition is open to all advertisers in the North Country, including Vermont and is chaired by the SUNY Plattsburgh Marketing Association Executive Board. All contest submissions must have appeared in the media listed above for the first time between Jan. 1, 2016 and Dec. 31, 2016.
In addition, ads must have been created and developed locally — not supplied by a manufacturer or other supplier from outside the area.
There are no limits to the number of entries per advertiser, advertising agency or advertising medium, but each ad should be submitted by April 21 and accompanied by a separate entry form and fee of $10.
SUNY Plattsburgh students trained in advertising and marketing will judge all entries. The winners from each category will be announced at the American Marketing Association’s year-end banquet May 4.
For more information or to request entry forms, contact Tyler Hargraves, [email protected], or Dr. Nithya Shankar, 518-564-4258 or [email protected].
