Career Night to Provide Opportunities for Students
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 2, 2010) -- Students will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from a wide range of businesses and organizations during the 34th annual Career Night on Thursday, April 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center.
Career Night is one of the most important events that the Career Development Center
sponsors for students, according to Carolyn Delcore, center director.
“Career Night provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable networking
experience with a variety of employers in a career-fair setting,” said Delcore.
The event emphasizes information exchange and can help students broaden their perspectives
on career options.
“We expect representatives from business and industry, law enforcement, health care,
media, human services, government and more,” Delcore said.
Employers will have information on careers and full-time, part-time and summer job
opportunities, as well as possible internships.
Also in attendance will be representatives from several graduate programs. Seniors
will have the opportunity to gain valuable information about post-graduate study in
a number of fields.
