Career Night Provides Networking Opportunities for Students

Students will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from a wide range of businesses and organizations during the 37th annual Career Night on Thursday, April 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center.

Career Night is the most important employer event that the Career Development Center sponsors for students, according to Tracey Cross-Baker, center director.

“Career Night is a dynamic opportunity for students to network in person with employers. This experience offers a meaningful way for undergraduates to learn more about different industries and the related career opportunities. It also provides local and national employers with a chance to meet prospective employees who represent the talent and creativity that SUNY Plattsburgh has to offer,” Cross-Baker said.

The event emphasizes information exchange and can help students broaden their perspectives on career options. Employers in attendance will have information on careers and employment opportunities for the school year and the summer, as well as possible internships.

“We expect representatives from business and industry, law enforcement, health care, media, human services, government and more,” Cross-Baker said.
