The annual SUNY Plattsburgh 9/11 memorial service will be held on the Hudson Hall side of Hawkins Pond Tuesday, Sept. 11, beginning at noon, weather permitting.

Coordinated by Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, the remembrance will feature remarks by Chapter President Amanda Li Furnari and Dr. Ashley Gambino, ODK member and director of clinical audiology and associate director of the Speech and Hearing Center.

Selections will be performed by the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir.

In addition to honoring the nearly 3,000 who perished as the result of the attacks on the twin towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the plane crash in Pennsylvania, SUNY Plattsburgh remembers Robert Sutcliffe ’84 and William Erwin ’92, both of whom worked at the World Trade Center.

The ceremony is open to the public. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the lobby of Myers Fine Arts Building. For more information, contact Larry Allen, director of student conduct, at 518-564-3282 or email [email protected].
