Annual Mark Rabin Memorial Golf Tournament Aug. 17
PLATTSBURGH, NY__ Members of the community who enjoy having a good time on the golf course are invited to play in the first Mark Rabin Memorial Golf Tournament, formerly known as the annual School of Business and Economics Golf Tournament, on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at the Westport Country Club beginning with a shotgun start at 12 noon. All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Plattsburgh College Foundation.
Entry fee for the tournament is $49.99, which covers the green fees, golf cart rental, bountiful buffet dinner and prizes.
The tournament will feature a four-person scramble best ball format. You can put your own team together or organizers will place you on a team.
There will also be a putting contest from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. It's only $2 to enter, and the top male and female putter wins a custom-made Adirondack putter.
The buffet dinner and award presentation will begin at 6 p.m. Every person on every team will win individual prizes, and there will also be special prizes for the male and female rookies of the year, longest drive, shortest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.
No golfing experience necessary. There will also be an opportunity to buy mulligan tickets and 50/50 raffle tickets.
