SUNY Free Application Week Oct. 16–29

Save up to $250 on college applications during SUNY’s Free App Weeks

During New York State College Application Month, SUNY is offering up to five free applications from October 16 through October 29, to help you find your place at SUNY.

You can apply with the ApplySUNY application or through the Common App — no special code needed.

How to Apply

First-year students have two options to apply online — the SUNY Application or the Common Application. Both applications are viewed equally by the admissions committee. Please be sure to complete only one of the two applications.

Dates & Deadlines

We are on rolling admission and do not have specific deadlines for submitting an application. However, first-year students are strongly encouraged to submit their applications by:

  • Dec 1. (fall semester)
  • Nov 1. (spring semester)

Application Process

Students who apply will need to do the following:

  • Complete the Common Application or SUNY Application
  • Pay the $50 application fee
  • Send an official high school transcript

First-year applicants should submit at least one teacher or counselor recommendation and an essay. SAT/ACT scores are not required, but applicants can opt to submit them for review.
