Workshop Offers Internet Tips


PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 21, 2008) - The North Country Small Business Development Center and the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce will be offering a seminar for entrepreneurs with big ideas and small budgets on Wednesday, April 30, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The program, presented by Online Small Business Expert Sarah Spencer, at the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce, 2176 State Route 9, Lake George, will provide valuable information to entrepreneurs for driving traffic to their Web sites.

Attendees will learn how to improve search engine rankings, how to use Craigslist to increase exposure for free, where and when to send press releases across the country, how to use free Webrings to bring more eyes to their business and how to use Google Adwords and Google Analytics. They will also be given six great questions to ask Web designers before hiring them.

A former communications professional, Sarah Spencer is the author of "Got Clicks?" an e-book that helps individuals learn the basics of the web, "How to Build and Market Your Website for Under $100" and "Creative (and FREE) Ways to Market Your Business on the Web." Spencer created "Got Clicks?" after many entrepreneurs came to her for help in developing an online marketing presence without spending thousands of dollars.
