Women's Studies Forum Events

PLATTSBURGH, NY __ There are a number of events planned for the Women's Studies Focum at Plattsburgh State University of New York this spring.

The Feinberg Film Series, which is fairly new, has also been included. The Office of the Dean of Students is providing the funding.  It began last Spring with the showing of "Frida" and "Bowling for Columbine." Both films played briefly at the Strand Theatre, however the feeling was that many of our students would have missed seeing those films.  Both films drew large audiences that also included a lot of community members.

Faculty members will lead discussions following each of the films.  The Series, which is open to both campus and community, is free of charge.  For further information, contact Patty Bentley, chair of the WS Forum Committee, 518-564-5202 or the Women's Studies Program at Plattsburgh State University of New York, 518-564-3002. The Women's Studies Forum is supported by a grant from College Auxiliary Services.
