'Unconventional Careers' Series Begins with Emergency Management
The director of the online graduate program in emergency management from New Haven University will discuss careers in the field Wednesday, Feb. 15 at noon in the Mowry Conference Room, Redcay Hall.
Dr. Rachel Dowty will speak about the New Haven emergency management program as the first in the 'Unconventional Careers in Anthropology and the Liberal Arts' series.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, emergency management is one of the fastest-growing career fields. Emergency management directors and specialist occupations are projected to grow the fastest, with an expected 22 percent total increase through 2018.
