Two Upcoming Theatre Events at SUNY Plattsburgh
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Theatre Department at the State University of New York College
at Plattsburgh will host two upcoming events.
A Double Bill of Story and Dance
A showcase of dance and theatre will be presented on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 5 and 6, at 7 p.m. in the Hartman Theatre, Myers Fine Arts Building. The first half of each evening will feature a readers' theatre presentation of Jose Rivera's Maricela de la Luz Lights to the World . In the most bizarre of all fairy tales, hear how an 11-year old girl and her 8-year old brother save the world from dreadful monsters and an eternity of snow and ice.
The second half of the evening will include a dance presentation, Rhythm Movement in Time & Space, performed by SUNY Plattsburgh students and directed by Phillip Cole, adjunct lecturer of theatre.
This event, which is appropriate for all ages, is free and open to the public.
Ringing Down the Curtain
Students will performing their best works of the semester from their acting classes
during "Ringing Down the Curtain" on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in Harman Theatre,
Myers Fine Arts Building. This event is free and open to the public.
