PLATTSBURGH, NY (October 9, 2007) - Growing a business doesn't have to be difficult. The North Country Small Business Development Center (SBDC), in cooperation with the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be offering a seminar for tourism-based business owners.

Those interested in building positive marketing campaigns should consider attending the seminar, "Marketing Your Tourism-Based Business." The seminar, presented by John Parmelee, will be held at the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce, 2176 State Route 9 in Lake George, on Tuesday Oct. 16, from 8 to 10 a.m.

This seminar will present an array of marketing issues including public relations, community outreach, collateral materials, media advertising, the use of the Internet, signage, partnerships and packages, and the use of e-newsletters to build a healthy marketing program.

The seminar is $10 for chamber members and $15 for non-members. Seating is limited, so those wishing to attend are encouraged to call the Lake George Regional Chamber at 518-668-5755 or email the chamber at [email protected] to register today.
