Theta Alpha Lambda Presents "Skate for Cystic Fibrosis"
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Members of the Beta Omicron Chi chapter of Theta Alpha Lambda Sorority
(Thalians) will host its annual "Skate for Cystic Fibrosis" on Saturday, Nov. 20 from
3 to 5 p.m. at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena in the SUNY Plattsburgh State Field
House (Rugar Street, Plattsburgh). The event is co-sponsored by Pizza Hut, Dominos
Pizza and Advanced Auto Parts.
Admission costs $3 for adults, $2 for children under 13 and $1 for Plattsburgh State students who present their college I.D. Ice skate rentals cost $1 for Plattsburgh State students with their I.D and $2 for all others. There will be $2 raffle tickets on sale for chances to win gift certificates.
All donations and proceeds will be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation whose mission is to ensure the development of the means to cure and control the disease and to improve the quality of life for those living with the disease. Cystic Fibrosis is caused by a defective gene that makes the body produce abnormally thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs.
The Thalians is a local sorority dedicated to serving the community by helping various regional and national organizations while strengthening lifelong bonds of friendship.
