'Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers' Film to be Screened April 13
The Gender and Women’s Studies program at SUNY Plattsburgh will screen the documentary, “Trapped,” Wednesday, April 13 at 5 p.m. in Room 208, Yokum Lecture Hall.
“Trapped” touches on the hundreds of regulations passed in the United States restricting access to abortion. Reproductive rights advocates refer to these as “TRAP” laws — Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers. Filmmaker Dawn Porter follows the clinic workers, women and lawyers who are fighting the battle to keep abortion safe and legal for millions of poor and uninsured women in the United States.
The screening is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Susan Mody, associate professor and chair of Gender and Women’s Studies, at 518-564-2809 or [email protected].
