Symphonic Band Salutes Sousa in Fall Concert
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music will present its Symphonic Band in a salute to the music of John Philip Sousa, Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
Music Director Lori Salimando-Porter and the SUNY Plattsburgh Symphonic Band will honor Sousa by playing a selection of his works, particularly some of his marching pieces.
This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the SUNY Plattsburgh Music Department, with support from the Campus Arts Council through the Student Association and the Plattsburgh College Foundation.
