Symphonic Band Performs Program of Folk Dances
The SUNY Plattsburgh Symphonic Band will perform its spring 2017 concert, “Folk Dances from Around the World,” Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
The band, under the direction of Daniel Gordon, professor of music, will perform folk songs from Great Britain, the United States, Hungary, Mexico, and Russia by composers such as Robert Russell Bennett, Jan van der Roost, Clifton Williams, and Shostakovich.
