Swingtime in the Adirondacks Concert Nov. 18
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Step back in time to the beat of Swing music at the Swingtime in
the Adirondacks: Solo and Group Vocal Jazz from the Swing Era Concert on Friday, Nov.
18, at 8 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
The concert, sponsored by the SUNY Plattsburgh Music Department, will feature the SUNY Plattsburgh Jazz Ensemble and some of the best singers in the North Country performing works such as Tommy Dorsey's version of "On the Sunnyside of the Street," and the Frank Sinatra arrangement of "I've Got You Under My Skin." Special guests include Jo Ellen Miano, Angela Brown, Ray Domenico and Samuel Joseph. The SUNY Plattsburgh Jazz Ensemble and Contemporary Combo are under the direction of Dr. Rick Davies.
