ONE is a non-profit organization that aims to help Americans raise their voice as ONE against the emergencies of AIDS and extreme poverty. They believe that, with the support of average citizens to raise awareness, decision makers will do more to save millions of lives - not just in the poorest countries, but also here at home.
"This race is a way to help eradicate poverty by starting on a local level. This has been an event that has been years in the making. We also hope to make it an annual event," says Andrew Krug, race coordinator.
Those wishing to join the ONE organization in its mission to help educate others can come to the meetings every Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Meeting Room 8 of Angell College Center.
