SUNY Plattsburgh Welcomes Alumni "Home," Oct. 11-14
PLATTSBURGH, NY (September 24, 2007) - The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh Campus will "roll out the red carpet" for its alumni and friends in celebration of Homecoming 2007, Oct. 11 - 14.
"Homecoming weekend is our marquee alumni event," said Rose Anderson, director of Alumni Affairs and a 1995 alumna. "We welcome our alumni 'home' to reminisce and catch up on their lives since graduation. The events really bring out the 'Plattsburgh Spirit' in all of us."
This year's Homecoming will include a special touch of glamour as it celebrates the theme, "Roll out the Red Carpet." The weekend gives alumni a chance to remember the past and an opportunity for them to learn about the SUNY Plattsburgh of today.
"We are delighted with everyone's involvement in providing a wonderful Homecoming Weekend," said Anderson. "From our students assisting with a dance-off and athletic contests, to various departments hosting alumni receptions - our alumni from the 1930s through 2007 will have many opportunities to reminisce about the Plattsburgh of yesterday and to hear and see first-hand the Plattsburgh of today. We know everyone - regardless of class year - will leave Homecoming Weekend with such pride that we are all part of the Plattsburgh family."
"We look forward to welcoming our alumni home, and we hope everyone has a great time," said Dr. John Ettling, president of SUNY Plattsburgh. "The Alumni Affairs Office as well as many other departments on campus work extremely hard to make our alumni celebrations unforgettable."
