The SUNY Plattsburgh Theatre Department will present Tony Kushner’s play, ’A Bright Room Called Day’ March 6-9 in Hartman Theatre, Myers Fine Arts at SUNY Plattsburgh.
“A Bright Room Called Day,” directed by Professor Kim Hartshorn and performed by SUNY Plattsburgh students, is an examination of paranoia in the context of Nazi Germany . Set in the early 1930s, it tells of a group of Berlin artists and friends, with varying degrees of communist leanings, and the choices they make as the Republic slowly devolves into the fascist dictatorship of Hitler.
Performances are Thursday through Saturday, March 6-8 beginning at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 9 beginning at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission, $8 SUNY Plattsburgh faculty, staff, seniors and students, and $2 for SUNY Plattsburgh and are available at the Angell College Center desk.
