SUNY Plattsburgh Summer Open House to Showcase Programs, Activities, Campus Tour
SUNY Plattsburgh will welcome prospective students to campus for summer 2024 open house Friday, July 19 beginning with lunch around Hawkins Pond at 11:30 a.m.
Open house provides a way for students and their families to meet with faculty and learn about campus services such as admissions, student life, financial aid, campus housing and dining and more. The student panel gives visitors the chance to hear about academics and what it’s like to be a student at SUNY Plattsburgh.
From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the pond, students and their families can attend Cardinal Compass: Guiding Students to Success Fair where they can explore the university’s diverse programs and activities.
Meet the Faculty
Academic information sessions will also be held at the pond from noon to 1:30 p.m. Faculty members from the university’s three schools — the School of Education, Health and Human Services, School of Business and Economics, and School of Arts and Sciences — will be on hand to discuss majors, research opportunities, hands-on learning prospects and how each school prepares its students for life after graduation.
One-hour campus walking tours begin at 11:30 a.m. from the pond and showcase classrooms, dining facilities, a residence hall and more. Last tour departs at 3 p.m.
Registration is open and can be here: https://apply.plattsburgh.edu/register/?id=3b63c860-a574-4782-b8cd-a4acc15b012e.
