SUNY Plattsburgh Presents Chamber Ensembles Concert April 28
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 2, 2009) - The SUNY Plattsburgh music department will present a concert featuring four of its chamber ensembles on Tuesday, April 28, 7:30 pm, in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, located on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
The audience will hear a varied selection of pieces performed by the Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Quartet and Brass Ensemble. Both student and community musicians play in the ensembles directed by music faculty members Robin Cameron-Phillips (flute), Janine Scherline (clarinet), Daniel Gordon (saxophone) and Herm Matlock (brass). The ensembles present two concerts a year at the college and participate in the popular PRISM concert held during homecoming each fall.
